The European Business Circle (EuBC), an interdisciplinary and non-partisan association of entrepreneurs and distinguished personalities from business, politics and society, invites young researchers and doctoral students to apply for the EuBC Research Award.
Markus Markert was awarded with the EuBC Research Award 2018. The annual distinction rewards outstanding academic research on European economic and political issues. Mr Markert, who is currently pursuing his doctoral studies at the University of Oxford, was awarded for his research on the role of non-state actors and multi-lateral intergovernmental relations.
Maja Adena was awarded with the EuBC Research Award 2017. The annual distinction rewards outstanding academic research on European economic, political and societal issues. Dr Adena, who is currently Research Fellow at the renowned Wissenschaftszentrum Berlin (WZB), was awarded for her research on important aspects of social policy in Europe, namely poverty and quality of life.

Dr Urmetzer, who is currently Senior Research Associate at the University of Cambridge, was awarded for his research in the area of service business design and the shift to service of classical manufacturing companies.

The Chairman of the EuBC, Christian L. Glossner, was awarded as Responsible Leader by the BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt. The foundation nominated 1600 responsible leaders from politics, administration, business, media and common public interest in 90 countries.
