The European Business Circle (EuBC) is an international and independent non-profit association of entrepreneurs and distinguished personages from business, politics, academia and society. Its paramount ambition is to stimulate and promote entrepreneurialism, economic and political co-operation.

In doing so, the European Business Circle considers information and mediation as crucial. Thus, the politically and economically independent organisation hosts the annual Baden-Baden Economic Forum and frequently invites leading figures from business, politics, diplomacy and society in order to exchange ideas and discuss prevailing issues.

In a reversion of the Napoleonic words 'politics is our fate', the politician and industrialist Walther Rathenau emphasised the relevance of the economy for state and society. In times of German and European political and economic reorganisation, it was then Minister of Economic Affairs Ludwig Erhard, who stressed anew the importance, but also the mandate and social responsibility of industry and business.

Indeed, both politics and the economy codetermine a society's fate. Thus, it is the overarching aim of the European Business Circle and its members from the business world and the political sphere to stimulate and promote international political and economic co-operation for the benefit of all.

In this pursuit, we appreciate your interest and support.

Dr. Christian L. Glossner
